Tools
Built for the job.
When my work needs something that doesn't exist yet, I build it. These are the apps behind Lewis hockey broadcasts, the podcasts and the events I work on.
A note on how these come together
I'm a producer first, not a software engineer. I don't have a computer science background, but I've learned enough code to turn a problem I see into a working tool, whether it's in the booth, on a shoot, in the studio or at an event. Each of these started with a real need, and each one is built around how the work actually gets done. It's the same instinct I bring to everything I do: notice what's slowing the team down, and fix it.

Live production
What runs during the show.

Scorebug Controller
Mac
The graphics desk for Lewis hockey broadcasts: score, clock and penalties, graphics on and off, instant replay with a playlist and a telestrator, all feeding the live output.

Scorebug Remote
iPhone · iPad
Drives Scorebug Controller from an iPad on the same network, so the score, clock, graphics and replays can run from anywhere in the booth.

PA Announcer
Mac · iPad
Arena PA for Lewis hockey in my own voice: goals, penalties and lineups stitched together live from recorded clips, with the roster pulled in automatically.

FlyrPrompter
Mac · Windows · iPad · iPhone
A teleprompter that scrolls by following your voice, and links prompters on the same network so one device can drive another.
Privacy policy
Lead Car
iPhone
Tracks a race's lead vehicle from a phone so its position shows live in Lewis University Television's broadcast graphics.
Privacy policyPrep & post
Before the broadcast and after the final horn.

Spotting Board
Mac
Builds the play-by-play spotting boards: both rosters with stats from Elite Prospects and the ACHA, storylines, and the coach's game card, exported to Word.

Game Cutdown
Mac
Turns a full game recording into a condensed game and social clips. It finds the big moments from the crowd noise and the broadcast transcript, then hands Premiere a ready timeline.

Intermission Builder
Mac
Assembles intermission packages: highlights, player photos and team logos over a countdown to the next period, pulling tonight's game from Spotting Board and Scorebug.
Events
For the moments off the air.

LK Moments
Mac · Web
A virtual disposable camera for weddings and events. Guests scan a QR code and shoot from their phones, the photos develop later like film, and the hosts run the whole event from a Mac app.
Studio & listeners
For the podcast desk and the radio audience.

Vinyl Curriculum Studio
Mac
The recording companion for The Vinyl Curriculum: plays each episode's song clips from Apple Music, keeps the run of show and banter notes, and watches mic levels while we record.

WLRA Radio
iPhone
Listen live to 88.1 WLRA, Lewis University's radio station.
Training
For the next crew.

EVS Replay Trainer
Web
A practice simulator for running an EVS replay station from the keyboard, so students can learn replay without touching the real hardware.
