Privacy Policy

In short: FlyrPrompter collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and the app sends nothing to us or to any server of ours.
What the app collects
Nothing. FlyrPrompter does not collect, store or share any personal information. It does not track you, within the app or across other apps and websites, and it contains no advertising or analytics.
Microphone and speech recognition
When you turn on voice following, the app listens through the microphone and matches what you say to your script, so the script scrolls as you read. Speech is recognised on your device. Audio is not recorded or saved.
Some older devices cannot recognise speech offline. On those, you can choose to turn on Use online recognition in the Voice Follow settings. It is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, what is said is sent to Apple to be recognised, under Apple's privacy policy. It is never sent to us.
The microphone is used only while voice following is on.
Connecting to other prompters
If you choose to connect to another prompter (another iPad or iPhone running FlyrPrompter, or FlyrPrompter on a computer), the app talks to it directly, over your local network or device to device. It sends playback controls, scroll positions and, only when you ask it to, your script. None of this passes through any server, and nothing leaves your network.
Devices you pair with are remembered on your device so they can reconnect. You can forget them at any time in the Connect tab.
Your scripts and settings
Your scripts and settings are stored on your device only. They are not uploaded anywhere, and they are removed if you delete the app.
Permissions the app asks for
- Microphone and speech recognition: only for voice following.
- Local network: only to find and connect to other prompters you choose.
You can change these at any time in your device's Settings, under FlyrPrompter.
Children
FlyrPrompter collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
